Abstracts

Abstracts Submission

The abstracts must be submitted to the Scientific Commission in the application form bellow until the 31st May 2012.


The accepted communications will only be completely validated after registration and its payment.


At least one of the authors must be registered until 18/6/2012, sending at that moment their payment proof. Registrations made until 14/6/2012 will benefit from a reduced price.

Full Texts

Full text must be sent to congressoie2012@gmail.com until the 22nd June 2012 in Word format.


In the mail subject it must be written: Full text of the (mention title) and author.


The participants can send two types of proposals: oral communications and posters.


The specific norms for the presentation of communications and posters are available in this page.


 

Communications

1. We will accept empirical investigation works, as well as theoretical and or theoretical revision. The works must be related to any of the themes of this Congress.


2. The investigation works must be structured according to the following chapters: Introduction, Methods (objectives, sample, instruments and procedures), Results, Discussion/Conclusions and Bibliographic References; this last one always at the end of the text and footnotes and following the APA norms.


As it is demanded for any work the maximum accuracy and scientificity around the studied investigation problem, the following will be demanded:


          2.1. The introduction must clearly justify the importance of the investigation problem, which must directly derive from the relevant revision investigation, done previously on that theme (“problem situation” or “theoretical mark”)


      2.2. From there the results of other works will be indicated and the voids of knowledge and or absences of knowledge that the present work wants to solve.


         2.3. As a consequence of those gaps, or void of knowledge it will be formulated the objectives and or hypothesis or the “questions and doubts” of investigation considered necessary to investigate. These will be defined as study variables to investigate that link directly to the problem.


         2.4. The hypotheses or investigation questions must clearly reflect the relation between the variables, the revision of the literature referred in the introduction and the possible conclusions.


        2.5. It is also indispensible to be conscious of the obligation to respect the universal ethical principles that guide the leading of an investigation, the principle of confidentiality and the obtainment of the participants’ informed consent whenever necessary.


3. The theoretical or theoretical revision works must equally be structured in the following chapters: Introduction, Development of the formulated question, Discussion/Conclusions and Bibliographic References, always at the end of the text and footnotes following the APA norms.

Presentation Format

1. Title must be included in the first page (maximum 85 characters, spaces included), author/s’ full names (first name followed by surnames), professional category, institutional affiliation, title (maximum 5 characters, spaces included) and contact for mailing with main author (address, email and phone number)


2. The second and third pages include title, summary, and abstract (maximum 200 words) and the key words (maximum 4).
In the following pages the text body must be included; it must be written and managed according to the APA Style®, detailed in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (last edition).


3. At the end of the body text, in separate pages, must appear in the following order: pictures captions, charts and pictures, attachments and notes explaining the author’s text, if there are those.


4. The charts, pictures and illustrations must be sequentially numbered and be located in the text in a legible way.


5. Works must be sent in Word format


Please number the pages

Posters

1. They can be presented in any European Community language.


2. The posters must have a title and the authors’ names on the upper part.


3. It is recommended to write the email address.


4. Their size must be maximum 100x100cm.


5. It is recommended to use a font size that facilitates easy reading and visualization at a meter distance.


6. The posters must posted up and removed by the author at the beginning and end of the posters session.


7. The author must be present near the poster, during the schedule indicated in the congress programme to facilitate contact with interested people.


8. The authors are recommended to have A4 reproductions of their poster to distribute.


9. Posters must be sent to congressoie@gmail.com till the 31st May 2012 in pdf format.


10. When sending the poster the email subject must be: Poster Proposal and its title.


11. For the poster to be accepted at least one of the authors must register until the 18th June 2012, sending at that moment the payment proof. Registrations made until the 14th June 2012 will benefit of a reduced price.





The deadline to send the presentations ends on May 31st

Oral Communications and posters are accepted.

Oral communications can be organized as symposiums or free communications.

Highlight will be given to poster communications (discussion space).

Abstracts of communication proposal sent to the Scientific Commission , through the proper form, available in this page in Abstracts Submission, until the 31st May 2012.

 

The abstract must be written in Word, Times New Roman 12 (up to 200 words in the text body, including email of the element to be contacted and the preference in terms of presentation: oral or poster, and the key words (maximum 4)).

The confirmation of the proposal acceptance and the format definition to which the presentation will obey – until 11th June 2012.
